How to Add a WooCommerce Product Slider in the Block Editor (With Add to Cart)

Add a WooCommerce product carousel with prices, ratings, sale badges and add-to-cart buttons in the block editor — featured, on-sale, best-selling or hand-picked products — and how the options compare.

To add a WooCommerce product slider in the block editor, insert SlideVerse Pro's Product Slider block, choose which products it shows — latest, featured, on sale, best-selling, top-rated, a category or hand-picked — and turn on price, rating, sale badge and add-to-cart. Shoppers swipe through products and add to cart without leaving the page.

Why a product slider

A grid asks shoppers to scan; a slider lets them swipe through a short, focused set — especially on phones. It's ideal for:

  • New arrivals or featured products on the homepage.
  • On sale items during a promotion.
  • Best sellers on a category landing page.
  • "You might also like" on the cart page.

Build it with SlideVerse Pro

  1. Install the free SlideVerse plugin and the SlideVerse Pro add-on, with WooCommerce active.
  2. Edit the page, open the inserter and search for product. Insert Product Slider & WooCommerce Carousel.
  3. Choose the source:
    • Recent — your newest products.
    • Featured — products you've starred in WooCommerce.
    • On sale, Best selling or Top rated.
    • Category — one or more product categories.
    • Manual — hand-pick products in the order you want.
  4. Set how many products to show and the order (date, title, price, popularity, rating, random or menu order). Optionally hide out-of-stock products.
  5. Choose a layout — card, minimal or overlay — and the image ratio.
  6. Turn on what each slide shows: title, category, price, rating, sale badge and add-to-cart.
  7. Set slides per view (for example 4 on desktop, 2 on tablet, 1–2 on mobile), arrows, dots, loop and autoplay, then publish.

The add-to-cart button works with AJAX, so shoppers stay on the page.

If you want a free moving strip and are happy to send shoppers to the product page, MarqueeX's Post Marquee does it — see how to add a WooCommerce product marquee. For a swipeable slider that sells directly, SlideVerse Pro's Product Slider is the block-editor option.

Make it sell

  • Fewer, better products. 6–12 products in a slider; more becomes a grid you can't see.
  • Consistent images. Same ratio and background for every product photo, or the slider looks uneven.
  • Show the price. Hiding it makes shoppers click through just to find it.
  • Careful with autoplay. Products moving while a shopper reads the price is frustrating. Leave autoplay off, or use a long delay; SlideVerse pauses on hover and focus and keeps autoplay off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
  • Thumb-friendly on phones. 1–2 products per view with visible arrows or dots.

Beyond products

The same Pro add-on includes a Dynamic Content Slider for any post type — portfolios, events, listings — that can map titles, images and captions to ACF or custom fields, plus 3D transitions, a lightbox and templates. See SlideVerse pricing.

Common Questions

Use a block-based slider. SlideVerse Pro's Product Slider block lets you pick the products — latest, featured, on sale, best-selling, top-rated, a category or hand-picked — and shows price, rating, sale badge and add-to-cart on each slide.

MarqueeX's free Post Marquee scrolls WooCommerce products as continuous cards linking to each product, but without price or add-to-cart. Swipeable product sliders with add-to-cart are paid in most slider plugins.

Yes, with SlideVerse Pro — its Product Slider has an AJAX add-to-cart button, so shoppers add products without leaving the page.
