The best Black Friday plugin purchase is one you already know you need: test the free version first, pick yearly or lifetime by how long you'll use it, buy for the number of sites you actually run, and check the refund and renewal terms before you pay. This guide covers each step and ends with which WPXERO Pro plan suits which job.
WPXERO's 2026 sale takes 25% off every Pro plan from November 20 to December 2 — the Black Friday Sale, then the Cyber Monday Sale. The details are at the end of this post and on the deals page.
1. Try the free version before the sale starts
A discount on a plugin that doesn't fit your site is still money lost. Every WPXERO plugin is free on WordPress.org, so you can find out before Black Friday:
- Install the free plugin on a staging copy of your site (or the live site, if it's low-risk).
- Build the thing you actually need — the hero background, the mobile menu, the virtual tour.
- Note what's missing. If it's a Pro feature, you know exactly what you're paying for. If the free version already does the job, keep your money.
Each plugin's pricing page has a Free vs Pro table, so you can check which side a feature is on.
2. Yearly or lifetime? Do the math once
A yearly license includes a year of updates and support; a lifetime license includes updates for the lifetime of the product, with no renewals. The sale takes the same percentage off both, so the comparison doesn't change — only the price does.
| Plan (list price) | Yearly | Lifetime | Lifetime equals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Cursor, 1 site | $24.99 | $74.99 | 3 years |
| ExtenderX, 1 site | $19.99 | $59.99 | 3 years |
| Animation Kit, 1 site | $14.99 | $49.99 | about 3⅓ years |
| Ultimate Cursor, 5 sites | $89.99 | $224.99 | 2½ years |
| ExtenderX, 50 sites | $249.99 | $399.99 | about 1⅔ years |
The pattern holds across the catalog: for a single site, lifetime pays off after about three years; on 5- and 50-site plans it pays off sooner.
Choose lifetime when the plugin is part of how your site works — the accessibility toolbar, the navigation, the store's product slider — and you expect to keep it for years.
Choose yearly when it's for a single campaign, a client project with an end date, or a feature you're still trying out.
3. Count the sites you really run
Buy for the live sites you'll use the plugin on during the license term, not for every site you might build one day. If you're an agency, count client sites you maintain, not the ones you've handed over. Every WPXERO plan includes a commercial-use license, so client work is covered.
If you run two sites today, the 5-site plan is often the better buy than two single-site licenses — check the prices side by side on the pricing page.
4. Know what happens when a license ends
Before you buy yearly, find out what the plugin does when the year is up. Ultimate Cursor, for example, keeps your Pro settings saved, falls back to the free behaviour, and restores everything when the license is active again. Look for that answer in each plugin's FAQ; a plugin that deletes settings or breaks the layout when a license lapses is a reason to choose lifetime or skip it.
5. Read the refund and renewal terms
The fine print matters more on a sale, because you're buying faster than usual:
- Refund window. WPXERO Pro purchases — sale or not — have a 30-day window. Install Pro straight away and test it within that time, not in January.
- Renewals. Yearly plans renew automatically. Renewal payments aren't refundable, so cancel before the renewal date if you're done. A reminder email goes out before it renews.
- Coupons. Checkout accepts one coupon per order. Sale codes don't stack with other codes.
The full terms are in the refund policy.
6. Skip what you won't use
A cart full of plugins at 25% off costs more than the one plugin you needed at full price. Make a short list before the sale starts — one line per problem, for example "mobile menu for the shop" or "virtual tour for the listings page" — and buy only what's on it.
